Contacts
Originally, Salesforce's standard Contact object has two address fields, Mailing Address and Other Address. In order to fully enjoy our package's features, we provide additional fields that form Address Blocks on the Contact.
In case you want to use the Contact object for address management you have the option to add address blocks to your existing page layout or assign our packaged page layout called Veezla Contact (Address).

Add Address Blocks

By default, Mailing and Other address block fields are available for Contact in Object Manager and mapping is provided to them for usage.
  • From Setup, Click Object Manager and select Contact
  • Select Page Layouts
  • Select page layout that you want to edit
  • Add Contact Address Block fields
Make sure that fields, which are required for address process and address verification, are displayed on the layout. For best practice, have a look on our address block documentation.
  • Click Save

Assign "Veezla Contact (Address)"

Our page layout includes two address blocks with fields described in our Object Definition documentation.

Save to address book

To add an address to your service provider's address book, address has to be saved. Mailing and Other addresses can be saved individually or simultaneously

Mailing Address:

Required fields for US mailing address: Account name, Mailing Street, Mailing City & Mailing State/Province OR Mailing Zip/Postal Code
Required fields for international mailing address: Account Name & Mailing Street

Other Address

Required fields for US other address: Account name, Other Street, Other City & Other State/Province OR Other Zip/Postal Code
Required fields for international other address: Account Name and Other Street

Process

Save one address block

  • Edit the Account record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, select the Save to Address Book (Mailing Address) OR Save to Address Book (Other Address) checkbox
  • Save the record

  • Edit the Account record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, save the record
  • Push Save to Address Book (Mailing Address)button ORSave to Address Book (Other Address)button

  • If mailing address is saved, In Address Book (Mailing Address) Verified (Mailing Address), and Address ID (Mailing Address) fields should get populated. OR
  • If other address is saved, In Address Book (Other Address), Verified (Other Address), and Address ID (Other Address) fields should get populated.
  • If mailing address is not saved, In Address Book (Mailing Address) and Verified (Mailing Address) checkboxes are false and Address ID (Mailing Address) field is empty.
  • Address Error (Mailing Address) field shows error details.
OR
  • If other address is not saved, In Address Book (Other Address) and Verified (Other Address) checkboxes are false and Address ID (Other Address) field is empty.
  • Address Error (Other Address) field shows error details.

Save both address blocks

  • Edit the Account record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, select the Save to Address Book (Mailing Address) and Save to Address Book (Other Address) checkboxes
  • Save the record

  • Edit the Account record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, save the record
  • Push Save to Address Book (All Addresses)button

    Verification ID (Mailing Address), Verification ID (Other Address), Deliverability (Mailing Address) and Deliverability (Other Address) fields should get populated.
  • Mailing address and other address formats change to standardized versions (read more about standardization).
  • If both mailing address and other address are not recognized, Verified (Mailing Address) and Verified (Other Address)
    checkboxes are false, Verification ID (Mailing Address), Verification ID (Other Address), Deliverability (Mailing Address) and Deliverability (Other Address) fields remain empty.
  • Address Error (Mailing Address) and Address Error (Other Address) fields show details.

Mailing Address:

Other Address

Process

Verify one address block

  • Open the Account record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, select the Verify (Mailing Address) OR Verify (Other Address) checkbox
  • Save the record
OR
  • Open the Account record
  • Fill in required and desired fields
  • Save the record and use Address Central for verification
  • Click Verify on Address Central either for Mailing Address or Other Address
OR
  • Open the Account record
  • Fill in required and desired fields
  • Save the record
  • Push Verify (Mailing Address)button OR Verify (Other Address)button

Clone a contact

  • Click Clone button
If you clone a contact that has a mailing and/or other address that is already saved in address book and/or verified then address management related field values get deleted on the new record.
