Postcards

It lets you create new records for sending personalized postcards and store records that are ready for sending or already sent.

Create a Postcard

  • Create a new Print & Mail record and select Postcard as record type
  • Fill in required and optional fields
Required fields if address is already processed: Address (To), Postcard Front, Postcard Back
Required fields if address isn't processed yet: Name or Company, Address (To), Postcard Front, Postcard Back
  • Save record

Postcard Content

POSTCARD FRONT
It accepts Salesforce File ID, template ID or a remote URL of an HTML, PDF, PNG, or JPG file. Remote URLs have a 20 MB file size limit. HTML files passed as remote URLs have no character limit. PDF, PNG, and JPGs must be sized at 4.25"x6.25", 6.25"x9.25", or 6.25"x11.25" at 300 DPI.
POSTCARD BACK

Be sure to follow the provided templates for the back of your postcard to leave room for the address and postage area:

Send a Postcard

  • Open the Postcard record
  • If all required and desired fields are filled in, click Process Print & Mailbutton at the top right corner.

Outcomes

Expected
Failed
  • If the postcard is successfully processed Status field changes to "Processed".
  • Print & Mail ID (External), Rendered URL, Address To ID (External), and Address From ID (External) fields get populated.
  • If the postcard is failed to process, Status field changes to "Failed to Process".
  • Processing Error field shows error details.
